Our client is an established firm in the heavy commercial vehicles industry is on the lookout for a talented and professional Sales Manager whose key role will be managing and directing a team of Sales Executives towards optimal sales performance.

Job Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, the individual will be responsible for the growth and coordination of the vehicle sales department with the objective of maximizing sales to existing and potential customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulating and implementing sales strategies to drive the realization of the sales targets
  • Managing and directing the team of Sales Executives towards optimal sales performance
  • Preparing and submitting sales budgets
  • Initiating and nurturing relationships with customers and other key stakeholders
  • Prospecting for new business to ensure the achievement of sales targets
  • Checking and approving proposals for promotions and promotional items to ensure value for money, cost and quality
  • Creation and nurturing of professional relationships within the field of asset finance, i.e. banks

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or relevant field
  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 8 years’ relevant working experience, with 3 years’ experience in automotive sales management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications/computer literacy
  • Product knowledge i.e. heavy commercial vehicle specifications, basic mechanical knowledge
  • Excellent report writing, presentation, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding pertaining to asset financing and taxation
