Our client is a social enterprise established in 2007 that provides business capacity building solutions for adoption of AgriTech solutions in small-holder value-chain ecosystem. As a start-up company, our client also provides Business training and Capacity Building  services to SMEs  for adoption of digital business solutions . They are working in partnership with re-known Technical providers and are in process of launching/piloting their Agritech platform into the Kenyan market. The platform is a fully integrated, soil-to-shelf tech platform for sustainable food supply chains. It creates a holistic digital ecosystem that brings a precise and highly personalised approach to address farmers’ needs while delivering a series of benefits to other stakeholders who work with smallholders.  Our client seeks to build a team that will  train CFAs (Certified Farmer Aggregators) and micro-entrepreneurs in using their platform to collect data that tracks farmer productivity on a real time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving input sales business by acquiring farmers as customers, assessing credit worthiness, fulfillment of orders through Agro-vet retailers and on time payment
  • Select, train & Supervise Certified Farmer Aggregators (CFAs) and  Agrovet Assistants/Agents
  • Train CFAs– quality control, price negotiations, logistics, farmer aggregation, farm visits, sampling
  • Work with Head of Inputs/agronomic to ensure farmers are trained by Training partners – Best Farming & Harvesting practices
  • Monitor CFAs to ensure all proforma Invoice of collected produce duly filled by farmer
  • Identify , onboard and support agro-vet Agents to promote the company services and ensure timely fulfillment of input orders
  • Generate demand for inputs on credit to farmers through channels : Baraza, ASK shows, farmer field days
  • Recruit, train and manage Lead farmers to generate demand for the company App services, take orders and collect KYC data
  • Ensure on-time fulfillment of order through Agrovet distributor
  • Monitor loan repayment
  • Manage collection through call to farmers, farm visits, meeting with chiefs
  • Proactively answer customer queries
  • Systematically collect famer feedback



  • Diploma or Degree from a relevant agricultural field.
  • At least 3 years Agri-experience
  • A proven sales track record with a confident and high energy approach.
  • Excellent people and relationship-building skills.
  • Energetic and loves to interact with farmers and agri-related practices.
  • Practical hands on experience in agriculture farming.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Willingness and ready to travel locally
  • Open to a lot of field work.
  • Confident and effective in decision-making
  • Capable to adjust and work with various teams
  • Active team player and should communicate well to the entire team by interacting enthusiastically and in a motivated manner.
